Ear Candles…do they really work?
My sister swears by them. She gave me several to try at home. I lit one and put it into my ear per the instructions. Afterward I cut open the unburned “stub”. There did appear to be a wax like substance inside. So I lit another and let it just smolder without inserting it and it looked almost the same as the first. Are these things bogus?
Bravo to you for realizing that seeing as candles are made of wax finding a waxy substance on one is not indicative of anything. Yes they are bogus. Anybody with common sense would realize that a candle cannot create enough suction to suck ear wax out of your ear. Or even if they could that would be really bad for your eardrum.
