My ear is blocked with wax. Somone suggested I try coning or candling. Does this work??
conflicting answers but that website kind of scared me
I’m a deaf education major, and can tell you that while it might work – DON’T DO IT. The tympanic membrane (ear drum) may not be up to that kind of heat and air pressure. It’s not a good idea. Instead, try going to a doctor, and have a professional cleaning (they actually do this). Or, take a bit of tissue, put a little rubbing alcohol on it, and use that to clean out your ear. Do not use so much that the rubbing alcohol runs down into your ear. Avoid Q-tips if you can.
