How do I remove a big chunk of earwax from my 2 year old’s ears?
I’m surprised she can hear what I say. It looks like it completely blocks the ear canal. HELP!
If it’s actually protruding from the ear, rather than firmly wedged within the ear canal, you should be able to wipe it out with a warm washcloth.
Otherwise, don’t bother with it yourself, as you can do serious damage. If it is inside the ear and you fear it may be problematic — as you mentioned it might be affecting her hearing — you can simply make an appointment with your pediatrician, who has a special tool used to safely “hook” and remove such debris.
